Wendy Longlade is a leader
in providing contemporary, elegant, and artistic images
that capture both the moment and the essence of her
subjects. Versatile and creative, she has used her
experience in Canada, the United States and Europe
as a photojournalist and wedding photographer to make
dynamic, natural images of everyday people.
She has also photographed
a broad spectrum of prominent individuals, including
Prime Ministers Paul Martin Jr. and Brian Mulroney,
President George Bush Sr., Vice-Presidents Al Gore
and Dan Quayle as well as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton,
Brittany Spears and Roch Voisine.
Wendy started her
professional career in photojournalism more than a
decade ago. She has covered stories for daily newspapers
in the United States and Canada as well as for the
international wire services Associated Press and Bloomberg
News, which carried her images around the world.
After returning to
Montreal in 1999, Wendy added commercial and wedding
photography to her repertoire. Her keen photojournalist’s
eye and sharp sense of timing give her images a genuine
quality. Wendy’s work features in wedding shows,
local exhibits and magazines across Canada.
Wendy earned a
Bachelor of Fine Arts in photojournalism from the
internationally renowned photography program at Rochester
Institute of Technology.
